NaNoWriMo Challenge

Starting November 1st, we will be participating in the Global writing challenge National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo). The goal is to complete 50,000 words by November 30th. For more information, check out the flyer on the right. Those interested in participating can go straight to the form and fill it out be registered in the group.

Participation Form Deadline is Friday, October 23, 2020.

Hasbrouck Heights COVID Community Time Capsule

Let us know how your life has changed during the pandemic and help us create a shared memory of this for our local history collection!

Participation for residents of Hasbrouck Heights Only.

To participate, you can send us your story by:

  • EMAIL – Send to our reference department at:
  • MAIL – mail it to our Adult Services Department at: 320 Boulevard, Hasbrouck Heights, NJ 07604
  • IN-PERSON – You can drop off your story at our library, either through curbside or during in-person browsing appointments.
    • NOTE: All in-person submissions must be submitted in an envelope with name and contact information.

Entries will be accepted until January 31, 2021.

Book Discussion Group

The group meets the fourth Tuesday of every month from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Call the front desk to get more information and find out about book selections.

Authors and Writers Group

All writers are welcome to attend our monthly meeting. We have beginners with big ideas to professional book authors and journalists who come and share their work, their constructive criticism, and their experience in the writing field. Please check our calendar for details on our next meeting.
