Resume Writing Workshop via Zoom

With career expert Joan Sternberg

January 21 @ 6:00 PM

This workshop will cover the basics of writing a strong resume that sells your accomplishments rather than tells them. The workshop will detail how to create each bullet point to maximize your opportunity to find a job. Formatting a resume and examples of strong and weak bullet points will be shared.

To participate, you can send us your story by:

  • EMAIL – Send to our reference department at:
  • MAIL – mail it to our Adult Services Department at: 320 Boulevard, Hasbrouck Heights, NJ 07604
  • IN-PERSON – You can drop off your story at our library, either through curbside or during in-person browsing appointments.
    • NOTE: All in-person submissions must be submitted in an envelope with name and contact information.

Entries will be accepted until January 31, 2021.

Book Discussion Group

The group meets the fourth Tuesday of every month from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Call the front desk to get more information and find out about book selections.

Authors and Writers Group

All writers are welcome to attend our monthly meeting. We have beginners with big ideas to professional book authors and journalists who come and share their work, their constructive criticism, and their experience in the writing field. Please check our calendar for details on our next meeting.
