Summer Reading Program– Libraries hold a Universe of Stories! Come register for the summer reading club! Keep your brains busy this summer by reading and collecting prizes for all that you read. Come in to the library for more details. 

Summer  Story TimeClasses begin June 25, and will run for six weeks.  Registration is required for Tiny Tots and PreSchool sessions. Please call (201) 288-0485 or visit us online at

Tiny Tots– Ages: Birth – 2 1/2 and their caregiver. 

Tuesdays, 10:30-11:15 am 

Drop In – Ages: 2 1/2 to 6 

Wednesdays, 10:30-11:15 am

PreSchool – Ages :3 1/2 to 6 

Thursdays, 10:30-11:15 am.

Lego ClubJoin the Hasbrouck Heights Lego Club.  Show off your architectural talents and come create with us. Legos will be provided. Tuesdays, July 2 & 16 starting at 3:30 p.m. for ages 5-12.

Space  BingoJoin us for a game of Space Bingo and win prizes! We will be meeting on Thursdays, July 11 & 25  starting at 3:30 p.m. for ages 5-12.

Movies at the Library  – Beat the heat and join us for an afternoon movie and refreshments.  The movie will start at 1:15-3:15 p.m. on Tuesdays, July 9 & 23, for kids of all ages.

Space  CraftJoin us for a craft of that is out of this world!  We will be meeting on Thursday, July 18 starting at 3:30 p.m. for kids of all ages. Limited to 25 kids, please register.

Chess Club Come test and improve your skills at our meetings of our chess club! Members must have some knowledge of chess. Fridays, July 5 & 19 starting at 3:30 p.m.

Fill’em up Fridays!Come in every Friday in July (and August too!) and for every 10 items you check out of the Children’s Department, you will be given a ticket to enter in a raffle drawing at the end of the month for a chance to win various Gift Cards. Good Luck!

Summer Reading ContestLibraries hold a Universe of Stories! Teens entering grades 7-12 can earn raffle tickets for every book they read this summer- even books on school reading lists! 1 book = 200 pages. Come to the library to register and create your book log. Books must be logged between June 17 and August 23. Raffle prizes will be drawn August 26- the more you read the better are your chances to win!

Teen Readers Club // Summer Edition–Do you LOVE to read? Join a teen book club! This is a five-week program where we will discuss the book, eat snacks, and play games! For Teens entering grades 7-12. Wednesday 3:00-4:30 pm. Program runs from July 10 – August 7. Teens who have attended 3 out of 5 book club meetings are
invited to an end-of-summer wrap-up party!

Young Adult Mondays Every Monday in July will be YA Monday! Starting at 6:30, Mondays, July 8, 15, 22, & 29, there will be a special event for teens. From trivia, arts and crafts, to movies and ice cream, join us for some fun! For Teens entering grades 7-12. Please register for each event.  Come in to the library for more details.
